Tips & Pointers
If the Scopemeter will not turn on when a known good battery is installed and/or the unit is plugged into the charger adapter, it is possible the keypad contact foil could be defective. Replace the foil and try again. If the problem persists, further diagnosis and repair is necessary.
A faded LCD display screen with poor contrast that cannot be adjusted is likely the result of damaged optical films on the display. Environments with high heat and humidity, such as found in the tropics, is a know cause of this problem. The display assembly must be replaced.
