Tips & Pointers
If the calibrator will not power on with a known good battery, try powering the unit from the charger adapter alone. NOTE: the proper charger plug is center negative at ~7.5VDC.
If the LCD display blinks or flashes once when the power button is pressed but the unit does not turn on, there is likely a problem with the digital processor and/or the related circuitry. Service will be required.
An unstable or erratic source output for ohms resistance, mA (milliamps), or voltage may indicate an internal precision reference is defective and requires repair.
A "Calibration Constant Out Of Bounds" error indicates an incorrect input was applied during calibration or there is a problem with the internal circuitry. If the correct input levels were applied and the error persists, repair is required.
